The Gallery/Museum will be hosting free art workshops guided by local artist Krystie Smoothy on Tuesday December 18 and Thursday December 20, 10am - 12:30pm.
The art workshops are being held in conjunction with the Gladstone City Council's Celebrate Australia art competition and will provide a creative environment for any young artists looking for that winning inspiration.

As part of Australia Day 2008 celebrations the Gladstone City Council are calling for primary school entries for the Celebrate Australia art competition.
The competition is open to ALL primary school students in the Port Curtis region and will help us to celebrate 'what and who makes Australia great'.

The Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum will be closed to the public from Monday to Friday, 29 October - 3 November, for installation of the 2007 Rio Tinto Aluminium Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards.
