As part of 2022 Australia Day celebrations, Gladstone Regional Council is calling for entries in the Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition.

A folk music festival, an artist workshop and a local history book are some of the local arts projects to receive Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) assistance from Round Two of the 2020-2021 funding.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Council accepted the recommendations of its RADF Committee to allocate a total of $58,674 to eight recipients at its 5 October general meeting.

Preparations are underway for the 2021 local oral history project Our Priceless Past, and the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum (GRAGM) is calling on the community to nominate special seniors to participate.
Participating nominees, aged 70 years or over who have lived in the area for 30 years or more, will be interviewed by students from Toolooa State High School.
