Metal & Mangroves launch!
Join in the celebrations at the launch of this local exhibition displaying the literary and art achievements of twenty local primary school students.
These illustrated stories are the result of student workshops led by local artist Bindi Waugh as part of the Curtis Coast Literary Carnivale and focus on the impact of industry on both landscape and culture in Port Curtis.
Join Bindi and the students for the opening of Metal & Mangroves at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum this Saturday, 13 October at 3pm.
Metal & Mangroves received funding from the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund managed in Queensland by the Queensland Arts Council and other generous sponsors including Rio Tinto Aluminium, Gladstone City Council, Central Queensland Ports Authority, Illustration House - Southbank and the Brisbane Writers Festival.
