The 32nd Rio Tinto Aluminium Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards will be officially opened on Saturday, 3 November 2007. Pick and choose from a full program of cultural events.

Join 2007 judge Rebekah Butler, Executive Director, Museum & Gallery Services QLD (M&GSQ), on a floor talk as she discusses some of the highlights of this year's art awards. The floortalk will depart from the front counter of the Gallery/Museum at 11:30am and will be followed by a light lunch. Lunch is a gold coin donation.

At 2pm Rebekah will take to the stage again and present an informative illustrated public lecture entitled Arts & Opportunities in Regional Centres. As the newly appointed Executive Director of M&GSQ, Rebekah's qualifications include a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in printmaking from Monash University, and Graduate Diploma of Arts (Art History and Curatorship) from the Australian National University.
