CELEBRATE AUSTRALIA PRIMARY SCHOOL ART COMPETITION 2026
It's that time of the year again where young artists of the Gladstone Region have a chance to get creative!
Gladstone Regional Council invites primary school aged children to put pen, paint, collage or any other medium to A4 paper during the Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition 2026.
This is the 20th year of the competition encouraging students to think about an aspect of Australia they believe is really important to them.
Students may submit one entry each (through their school or as an individual), accompanied by a completed entry form, in either Section One: Prep to Year 2 or Section Two: Year 3 to Year 6.

Submissions
Submissions close 1pm, Saturday, 29 November 2025 and can be delivered to: Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, cnr Goondoon & Bramston Streets, Gladstone or posted to: PO Box 29, Gladstone QLD 4680.
Winners Announced
Monday, 26 January 2026, during Gladstone Regional Council’s Australia Day celebrations.
In 2026, entries will tour venues across the region and a digital exhibitions of entries will be displayed at selected Council venues.
Fourteen selected artworks will be sent to Saiki City, Japan in conjunction with Japanese Children’s Day events
during October 2026.
