Create an art installation: A Flood-proof Town of the Future.
Join local artist Rosemary Anderson at the Gallery & Museum in an exciting event that will run in conjunction with Rosemary's flood installation: We'll Be Ready For It Next Time. Students will use some of the same materials used in Rosemary's installation to create a "flood proof town" of the future.

In this workshop you will be using crushed glass (frit), cut pieces of glass and wire to create your favourite animals or flowers in textured glass to hang as a mobile. Designs will be provided or bring your own. No experience necessary, samples will be provided and glass will need to be picked up the following day after being fired in the kiln overnight.

How would you like to make your own sculpted glass paperweight? This full day workshop will involve clay modelling, plaster mould making and casting the glass to create a unique 3D glass art piece. The Gladstone Region Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is calling on local groups or individuals to submit applications for the upcoming funding round closing 4pm Tuesday, 30 September 2014.
