Young artists of the Gladstone Region have the chance again, to get creative as Gladstone Regional Council invites primary school aged children to put pen, paint, collage or any other medium to A4 paper during the 2021 Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition.
This is the 15th year of the competition encouraging students to think about an aspect of Australia they believe is really important to them.
Artists may submit one entry each, accompanied by a completed entry form, in either Section One: Prep to Year 2 or Section Two: Year 3 to Year 6. The entry form is available for downloading below.
To assist budding artists with their entries, local artist Jenny Fournier has developed a virtual workshop, which you can view below.
Using items found around the house, including A4 paper, scissors, glue and collage materials, Jenny will guide you through a mixed-media collage workshop. You'll be able to pause and replay the stop-motion short film, as many times as you like!
View the workshop any time and submissions to the competition close 4pm Friday, 18 December 2020.
