Calling for entries: photo competition to capture ‘Spirit of CQ’ will be showcased in Japan
Gladstone Saiki Sister City Advisory Committee, supported by Gladstone Regional Council, invites all photographers of the Gladstone Region to capture the spirit of Central Queensland's lifestyle, people and environment for Intercity Images 2019.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the annual photographic exchange opens with a display of all Gladstone Region’s entries at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from 13 April - 25 May 2019.
“The official launch for this exhibition will be held from 6pm on 12 April 2019 at the Gallery & Museum,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Thirty entries will be selected to be shown alongside those of Saiki City photographers in our Japanese Sister City during June / July 2019.
“The winning photographers will also be awarded a certificate at the exhibition launch.”
The combined Saiki and Gladstone photographs will then travel back to Gladstone to be displayed at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from 24 August - 12 October 2019.
Application forms are available at Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum or on the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery website page.
Completed entry forms must be received by 5pm, Saturday 30 March 2019.
