Saiki 30 Years

-

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Sister City relationship between Gladstone Region and Saiki City, Japan. This milestone represents far more than three decades of friendship, cultural exchange and meaningful connections between our two communities. Since 1996, the Gladstone - Saiki partnership has provided opportunities for people of all ages to learn from one another, build lasting relationships and broaden their understanding of the world.

On 4 September 1996, a historic milestone in international friendship was marked with the official signing of the Sister City Agreement between Saiki City and Gladstone City. This significant occasion, led by Mayor Yuichi Sato and Mayor Peter Corones, laid the foundation for an enduring partnership built on mutual respect, cultural exchange and shared vision. The signed Sister City Agreement will form part of the exhibition, along with other significant pieces from the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum collection.

Official opening to be announced.
