Maritime Connections

An exhibition exploring the vital maritime connections to wartime service.

Drawing on objects and photographs from the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum’s permanent collection, the exhibition highlights the role of the sea in shaping military experience, transport, and remembrance.

On display for the first time are Samuel Streeter’s Next of Kin Memorial Plaque and Memorial Scroll, generously donated by the Streeter family. These significant commemorative items honour Samuel’s service and sacrifice, and provide a personal connection to the broader history of war and remembrance.
