The book launch of War Memorials of the Gladstone Region will be presented in conjunction with this year's ANZAC Day: Lest We Forget exhibition. The publication serves as a guide to the Memorials of the Gladstone Region, honouring The Fallen and those who served Australia in the Armed Services. Copies of this First Edition will be available from the Gallery & Museum, from ANZAC Day 2017.
School aged children in the Gladstone Region are invited to join local artist Rosemary Anderson for two FREE school holidays Under the Sea Lantern Making workshops, at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum.
Sculpting large sea creatures with soft cane, participants will use coloured paper to create a giant lantern, lit with LED lights, for the 2017 Gladstone Harbour Festival Ozzie
In conjunction with the Gladstone Region Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), Gladstone Regional Council welcomes ArtReach Queensland Director Stephen Clark, to lead Grant Writing and Project Development workshops in three locations across the region.
Take a guided journey creating a unique 2D artwork using watercolour washes, collage, mark-making and stitch. Be inspired by the Caravan of Curiosity symbols as you create a journey of good fortune. Be excited by the unexpected! Each participant will take home a completed artwork.
