The exhibition embraces the intersection of art and biology to kindle curiosity, promote accessibility, and encourage a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.

This exhibition challenges stereotypes by offering a variation on traditional embroidery techniques using unexpected industrial, and non-textile materials to create unique sculptural forms.

Join Brisbane artist Jeanette Stok for a Hardanger workshop in response to her exhibition, Point of Reference. Under the Jeanette’s expert eye participants will work with an embroidery hoop to learn the Hardanger embroidery technique to create your own applique piece.

This workshop is suitable for ages 15+.  Previous embroidery experience not required but advantageous. All materials included.

Learn the beautiful, colourful and ornate patterns featured in Mexican 'Talavera' Pottery.

Join award-winning artist Michelle Taranto as she guides you to paint your own designed plant pot with acrylic paint.
