A unique opportunity to learn from talented artist Joanne Kerr as she presents a workshop on using mixed media and line to create a visual response to the surrounding landscape.
You will experiment with a variety of collage materials and textures to create a layered base for your work. Drawing with pencil and crayon, followed by painting onto this base layer you will further merge your image into a new and imaginary landscape.
Joanne Kerr is a contemporary artist based in Queensland. The recent highlights of her art practice include Stanthorpe Art Prize–Finalist 2018; Clayton Utz Art Prize–Finalist 2018, 2019; John Villers Outback Art Prize-Finalist 2019 and Section 2: Works on Paper Highly Commended in The 42nd Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2017.
