FREE WORKSHOP AT THE GALLERY & MUSEUM: EXTENDING THE REACH

In early December, the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum will be facilitating an exciting workshop aimed at regional Arts & Culture workers and volunteers, as well as local community groups.  Museums & Galleries Queensland has assisted to bring this professional development workshop to the Gladstone Region, enabling participants to better their audience engagement skills.

Extending The Reach: Education and Public Programming Skills Workshop will be presented by Jodi Ferrari, Education and Audience Development Officer, from Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre, NSW.

Jodi said, “Quality education and public programs have the potential to engage new audiences and build strong connections within your local community.”

The workshop will be held from 10.30am to 3:30pm on Friday 1 December 2017 at the Gallery & Museum, with all materials.

“The comprehensive workshop will explore a broad range of programs with a focus on best practice, participation and innovation. Participants will be able to draw ideas and inspiration to enhance their own programming ideas, and identify challenges and opportunities present in the community,” Jodi explained.

Spaces are limited, so register your interest today.  Email gragm@gladstone.qld.gov.au or phone (07) 4976 6766.  The Gallery & Museum is located on the corner of Goondoon & Bramston Sts, Gladstone.
