Craig Walsh's Digital Odyssey to grace our shores

Come along to the Gallery/Museum 4.15pm to 5.15pm, Wednesday 15 September 2010 to meet artist Craig Walsh and find out more about his exciting Digital Odyssey project.

Craig is an internationally respected Australian artist and his Gladstone residency will involve displaying his large-scale projection artworks responsive to local stories, architecture and surrounding landscape.

The residency is part of a two-year artist tour with his wife Hiromi Tango and young daughter, travelling to regional locations across Australia.

Craig and Hiromi will be set up in the Gallery/Museum to work on their HOME project 10am to 5pm weekdays from Monday 20 September to Friday 1 October 2010.

Craig will video local people discussing what home means to them. Local artists and community members of all ages are invited to participate in workshops during these two weeks, creating a collaborative screen that the videos will be projected onto.

The great unveiling of the project will be launched at the Gallery/Museum 6pm Friday, 1 October 2010.

Digital Odyssey is made possible by the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney and presented in Gladstone in partnership with Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum.
