Celebrate Our Special Seniors
The annual Our Priceless Past display will be officially opened Tuesday 9 October at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum.
Each year, students from a local high school record the stories of seniors who have lived in our region for over 35 years. This year, Chanel College Year 8 students have written the stories for inclusion in the annual exhibition and the Observer's commemorative lift out.
The exhibition and commemorative supplement will be officially launched by Cr. Peter Corones, Mayor of Gladstone next Tuesday at 1.30pm and everyone is invited to attend.
The exhibition will be on display at the Gallery/Museum from October 9-27 and the commemorative liftout in the Gladstone Observer on Wednesday October 10.
Ergon Energy has once again undertaken to sponsor The Observer commemorative supplement Our Priceless Past and copies of this will be presented by the students to the seniors at the official opening and launch.
