2009 Rio Tinto Alcan Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards Entry Forms now available!
They've been much anticipated, they're here and they're fabulous!
Entry forms for the 2009 Rio Tinto Alcan Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards are now available and local artists are snapping up their opportunity to be a part of the biggest ever prize pool on offer.
This is the 34th year of these prestigious awards that now attract more than 300 submissions from all over Australia.
This year?s judge Emeritus Professor David Williams AM, previously Director of the Australian National University School of Art for more over 20 years, is preparing for the challenging job that will award a record total prize pool of $21, 450 including the overall prize, the Rio Tinto Alcan Martin Hanson Memorial Art Award of $10,000.
Entries can be submitted from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday October 28-31, to the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, cnr Goondoon and Bramston Sts.
All works must be the original work of the artist, have been created in the last 12 months, not have been previously displayed publicly and be ready for display, clearly labelled and accompanied by the official entry form to be eligible for selection.
