Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum (GRAGM) selects exhibition in several strategic ways that reflect community desires and tourism drivers, while maintaining our commitment to growing and developing regional creative talent. We also introduce our audiences to cultural content from other regional and national centres to continue to broaden their knowledge and experiences.

A World View: The Tim Fairfax Gift is the story of a deep commitment to contemporary art and to the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern (QAGOMA). Since 2002, Tim Fairfax AC, has supported the acquisition of some of the most remarkable works. Reflecting this generosity, the regional touring exhibition presents works by renowned and emerging artists.
Presenting a series of artworks created by young children from Saiki City, Japan. This year we have fifteen entries on display from students aged 7 to 15 years. Schools include Saiki Elementary School, Aoyama Gakuin Elementary School, Kamikatata Elementary School, and Tsuruya Junior High School.
Just in time for summer, By the Sea takes viewers on a nostalgic trip to the beach. Rediscover old photographs of Tannum Sands Beach, the Golding Bequest Seashell collection, repurposed fish-scale artworks and heritage surf lifesaving uniforms.
Art Of Agnes highlights the incredible skill and diversity of artists in the Agnes Water/1770 area.
Well-known for its beaches and surf, the Discovery Coast is becoming a destination for artists to be inspired by the beautiful flora and fauna of the area.
The 42nd Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2017, supported by local industry, business and the community. Visitors are encouraged to take part in this year's QAL People's Choice Awards by voting at the kiosks available within the Gallery & Museum until 5pm, Thursday 30 November 2017.

Running annually for 23 years, the exhibition is an initiative of the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum Society, supported by the late Society patron, Mr Cyril Golding (1920-2012).
Featuring the stories of local Special Seniors, prepared and presented by Year 9 students of Tannum Sands State High School to celebrate Seniors Week in Queensland (19-27 August 2017).
Official opening and launch of the publication by Cr Matt Burnett, Mayor Gladstone Region and guest speakers, 1pm Thursday 24 August 2017. A light lunch will be served from 12pm.

A joint display of Japanese and Australian photographs by Saiki City and Gladstone Region citizens.
The exhibition is presented in conjunction with the Gladstone Saiki Sister City Advisory Committee and supported by the Gladstone Regional Council.
Often fondly referred to as "The heart of Gladstone", Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in August 2017. Going strong since 1967, QAL has worked in partnership with the community since the beginning of construction until today to assist in the growth and development of the Gladstone Region.
Grounded, a commission by Glasgow Life for Festival 2014, XX Commonwealth Games, is the seventh exhibition in Judith Parrott’s Place Matters series. Grounded presents the outcome of two residencies; one in the Gaelic speaking Outer Hebrides of Scotland and the other with the Australian Aboriginal nations of the Central Australian desert and the plains of Western Queensland.
