We also introduce our audiences to cultural content from other regional and national centres to continue to broaden their knowledge and experiences.

An exhibition of contemporary paintings and sculptures that document a new art movement emerging from the Western Desert community of Warakurna. The works are the creative vision of a group of artists including Eunice Yunurupa Porter, Judith Yinyika Chambers, Jean Inyalanka Burke and Ken Shepherd.

A commemorative exhibition revisiting one of Gladstone’s most well-respected artists, Helmut Breckwoldt. Although 2018 marks twenty years since his passing, Breckwoldt’s works continue to resonate with our regional communities, particularly Gladstone. The exhibition has been prepared in collaboration with the artist’s family.
This exhibition by the late Queensland author and Illustrator Narelle Oliver (1960 -2016) shows the development of her last picture book. The exhibition is comprised of the works made for the book and a retrospective of her stunning illustrative style. Narelle began creating books using pure linocut and over time her craft evolved to include collage, frottage and mixed media.
Fragile Balance Exhibition is an artistic exploration by two local artists of the mangrove eco-systems and nearby environments in the Gladstone Harbour. Jeanette Albury and Rosemary Anderson have collaborated to explore the diversity of these waterways and depict the adaptation of its inhabitants.
