World Oceans Day 2020 - Voyage into the mangroves

An artistic exploration by two local artists, Jeanette Albury and Rosemary Anderson, of the mangrove eco-system and nearby environments in the Gladstone Harbour.

The Fragile Balance Exhibition held in 2018 was an artistic exploration of the mangrove eco-systems and nearby environments in the Gladstone Harbour. Jeanette Albury and Rosemary Anderson collaborated to explore the diversity of these waterways and depict the adaptation of their inhabitants. Together they responded to our environment using drawings and paintings on paper and canvas and formed 3D sculptures using organic and repurposed materials. They used their creativity to inspire, stimulate and motivate others to enjoy the environment in which we live.
