We'll Be Ready For It Next Time
"When floods come and then recede, as happened in the Gladstone Region in 2012, there is often a proliferation of real estate signs with people just wanting to sell up and move on. Others use whatever resources they have to rebuild their lives. This exhibition is a celebration of the people who will be ready for it next time!" - Rosemary Anderson.
A light hearted look at the 2012 floods in the Boyne Valley, Baffle Creek, Boyne Island and Tannum Sands areas.
Bamboo rafts are packed with the essentials.
Even the dog Jack and the chooks have individual rafts and shelters ready to go.
During SUNfest 2015, Rosemary will work with participants to create a sculpture installation as part of the display. For more information follow the link: http://gallerymuseum.gladstonerc.qld.gov.au/workshopdetails.cfm?ID=525
