Soft Light, Slow Time
Bringing together a selection of paintings, works on paper, and decorative art objects from the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum Collection which invite moments of reflection and attentive looking.
Across landscapes, still-life, coastal scenes and portraits, these works share a sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and the passage of time, and explore how artists capture the world around them. Some works celebrate the changing effects of light and season, while others reflect personal experiences, local histories, and connections to land and community.
Together, these works reflect the richness of the Gallery and Museum’s collection and the many ways artists observe, interpret, and record the world around them.
Soft Light, Slow Time encourages visitors to slow their pace, pause, and discover the stories held within each work.
