Sea Paintings: a series of studies in oil by local artist Beverly O?Brien, officially opened by Elizabeth Zussino on Saturday, June 7, features an exciting collection of local seascape canvases.

Painted from a Barney Point patio perspective, the paintings are a reflection of the many watery harbour moods that have inspired the artist.

The works are a direct response to the condition of the water on any given day.

The more she looked, the more she was fascinated by the sea; such as the "way the light rides in on the ripples."

Sea Paintings will be on display until Saturday 28 June 2008.
