LOVE BiTES 2023
An annual exhibition presented to coincide with Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, showcasing artworks made as part of the LOVE BiTES 2022-2023 Program.
High school aged students from around the Gladstone Region create artworks in response to interactive workshops focusing on consent, healthy relationships, and gender stereotypes.
LOVE BiTES is an successful, respectful relationships program, authored by NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) and organised by the Gladstone Coordinated Community Response to Domestic and Family Violence (CCRDFV).
The program aims to break down the intergenerational cycles of domestic and family violence and stop the increasing rates of sexual assaults, by providing young people with the knowledge needed to have respectful relationships.
Each May, Queensland marks Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month to raise community awareness of domestic and family violence and to send a clear message that such violence will not be tolerated.
