Artist in Residence – Lani Burville
The Residency offers the artist an opportunity to select artworks from Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum's collection, that resonate with their practice, to study them more closely while on site in a dedicated space with time for reflection and creative development.
Encouraging meaningful community engagement, creating opportunities for dialogue, exchange and offering insight into the creative process and the development of new work.
Lani Burville is a visual artist based in Central Queensland and draws her inspiration from the beauty in everyday and mundane moments, with a particular interest in capturing light.
She was the recipient of The Pieter Groen-int-woud Memorial Young Emerging Artist Award in the 49th Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards, 2024, and delivers art classes across the region.
