2017 Paint the Port - Exhibition of Winners

The 2017 Paint the Port art competition is part of the Gladstone Ports Corporation's Arts in the Park event, held during this year’s Gladstone Harbour Festival.

The competition provides amateur and professional artists from Gladstone, Rockhampton or Bundaberg with an opportunity to present their unique portrayal of port activities or infrastructure for a chance to win cash prizes. 

Judging the entrants this year is Guest Judge and local artist, Geoffrey Head, and Gladstone Ports Corporation's People & Community General Manager, Rowen Winsor.

All entries will be displayed at the Paint the Port Exhibition at CQUniversity Gladstone's Marina campus from Wednesday, 12 April - Friday, 21 April 2017. 

The winners will then be shown in the Foyer of the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from Saturday, 22 April  - Saturday, 6 May 2017.

PAINT A POSTCARD

10am to 11am, Saturday 15 April 2017

Calling all budding artists!!!

An art workshop will be held from 10am to 11am on Saturday, 15 April, in the GPC Marina Parklands by Paint the Port Guest Judge, Geoff Head.

Participants will be invited to paint some aspect of their immediate surroundings e.g. trees, boats, Harbour Festival activities, on a postcard and then you can take the postcard with you!

No experience needed, just a willingness to have a go!

Cost: FREE

Registrations essential:  Places are limited so please register your interest by email to events2@gladstonefestival.com, with name, age and contact number.

Participants 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
