2016 'Paint the Port' Art Competition
The 2016 Paint the Port art competition is part of the Gladstone Ports Corporation's new Arts in the Park event, held during this year’s Gladstone Harbour Festival.
The competition provided amateur and professional artists from Gladstone, Rockhampton and Bundaberg, the opportunity to present their unique portrayal of port activities or infrastructure, for a chance to win cash prizes.
Judging the entrants this year was Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum's Curator, Jo Duke, and Gladstone Ports Corporation's People & Community General Manager, Rowen Winsor.
All entries were displayed at CQUniversity’s Leo Zussino Building on 26 and 27 March 2016 as part of Gladstone Harbour Festival activities.
The winning artworks are now currently on display in the Foyer of the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from 1 - 29 April 2016.
Visit the Gladstone Ports Corportation website to see an online gallery of all of the entrants.
