The 43rd Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2018, supported by local industry, business and the community. Visitors are encouraged to take part in this year's QAL People's Choice Awards* by voting at the kiosks available within the Gallery & Museum until 5pm, Friday 30 November 2018.

Kevin Wilson has worked in the arts industry for 30 years. He has directed Melbourne’s Linden Gallery, and regional galleries in Noosa and Albury, as well as curating many exhibitions at these venues and for external organizations such as Asialink. He was a past president of Artists in Nature International Network based in France and was the founder of The Floating Land art and environment biennial in Noosa.
More recently he was a curator and senior programming officer at the State Library of Queensland and produced a range of key exhibitions around Queensland music culture, modernist architecture, and the First World War. He currently is the curator at QUT Art Museum.

By completing the QAL People’s Choice Awards electronic voting form, you are giving consent for your details held by the Rio Tinto Community Fund, to be used for the competition draw only, relating to the ‘voter’s prize’. The prize includes two night for two people in a luxury beachside suite at Heron Island. Including all transfers, meals and your choice of; A snorkelling trip, Sunset Wine & Cheese Cruise or a semi-submersible tour. Limit of one entry per person. Prizes are strictly subject to availability and blackout dates may apply, package valid until December 2019. The competition is open to all people who view the 2018 Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards Exhibition at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum within the competition dates. Entries must be lodged via the iPad kiosks in the Gallery to qualify. Competition opens 6pm Saturday 13 October 2018 and closes 5pm Wednesday 28 November 2018. The winner of the competition will be drawn by a random computerized draw at the offices of Vivo Group, Level 2, 35 Amelia Street, Fortitude Valley, Qld 4006. Winners will be notified by phone and email and will be invited to attend a People's Choice Awards morning tea on Tuesday the 4th December 2018.
