Wild with Watercolour
About the course
In this course local artist and experienced art tutor Marion Hughes will teach you how to work with watercolour and ink, while creating beautiful scenes of wildlife and nature. You will learn rules of composition, how to draw your subject and techniques to depict feathers and fur. At the end of the course you will use your knowledge and new skills to create a finished artwork.
Age: Adults
Level: Beginners
Dates: Thursdays, 3 June – 24 June (4 weeks)
Time: 6pm – 7.30pm (please arrive 5.45pm for a 6pm start)
Cost: $40 for 4 weeks (non-refundable payment to be made when booking)

About the artist
Marion's art career spans over 30 years and beyond. Passionate about watercolour and experimenting with this medium, Marion also loves nature and her surroundings, so it comes as no surprise that her subject matter depicts birds, wildlife and nature. Marion has exhibited in many art exhibitions over the years and owned her own gallery in Gladstone, Central Queensland. She has been teaching her techniques in classes and workshops over the last 10 years and loves passing on knowledge about the magic world of painting with watercolour adding in mixed media and ink to bring her work to life. www.artbymarionhughes.com
