‘Sailing Matters’ presentation by Denis Drouyn

-
Mr Denis Drouyn, son of Douglas Drouyn, skipper of the Sea-Tang, will be presenting unique historical insights and showcasing artefacts from the first Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear about the history of the race including the original telegrams that were read out by Douglas Drouyn to Mayor O’Malley.
Douglas Drouyn was one of the founding members of the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (affiliated with the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race) who are this year celebrating the 75th Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.
We also invite you to share your stories of the First Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. You can phone or email the Gallery & Museum to provide any recollections or come along to the talk and share them in person with the attendees.

10.30am-12.30pm, Wednesday, 5 April 2023

RSVPs appreciated on 4976 6766 or gragm@gladstone.qld.gov.au.

After the presentation there will be time to ask Denis questions followed by light refreshments.
