HOME is an ongoing collaborative community artwork developed by artists Craig Walsh and Hiromi Tango, and presented as part of Digital Odyssey, a Museum of Contemporary Art touring project.
The community is invited to participate in creating a collaborative screen for the HOME project. People of all ages and levels of artistic experience are welcome to join in, by creating artworks and/or objects that represent 'home'. Use the materials supplied or bring textiles, materials and creative ideas. Visit the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Muesum to get involved!
In HOME, people living in or visiting Gladstone are interviewed, sharing how personal histories and experiences have shaped their perceptions of home. These videos are projected onto the above-mentioned collaborative screen, assembled with materials donated by the community.
Participate in creating the collaborative screen between the hours of 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday. You can stay as long or as little as you like.
Participate in the filming of your stories between the hours of 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (not available Saturday).
