SUNfest participants flex their creative muscle
Young people aged 12 to 17 years, are taking up the opportunity to flex some creative muscle during the summer school holidays, as part of Gladstone Regional Council's annual youth program SUNfest.
The Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum welcomes Studio 8's Jude Bohm-Parr, for an exciting series of glass art workshops with young people as well as one adult class opportunity, during the SUNfest season.
Participants have the chance to create a range of fused glass works including jewellery, portraits and wind chimes, but places are limited and bookings are essential.
The Studio 8 workshops are supported by the Gladstone Region Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), a Queensland Government and Gladstone Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture.
SUNfest 2015 is open to all young people aged 12 to 17 years who live in the Gladstone Region and there is also a selection of Lil Kids events on offer for 10 and 11 year olds.
There are still plenty of tickets on offer at: http://www.gladecc.com.au or phone the Box Office on 4972 2822.
