Local Sporting Identity to Open Show
Join Australian Light Heavyweight Champion Ben McEachran at the launch of the Australian War Memorial's travelling exhibition Sport and War.
This national touring exhibition looks at the relationship between sport and war throughout Australia's history and includes Don Bradman's war medals, Keith Miller's cricket cap and a handmade Melbourne Cup crafted by prisoners of war in Borneo.
The official launch will be held at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, cnr Goondoon and Bramston Streets, on Friday, 18 May at 6:30pm.
