Flying Arts Workshop Opportunity - Wax Carving for Jewellery

Flying Arts Inc and the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum present Wax Carving for Jewellery, with Brisbane based artist Madeleine Brown, Saturday & Sunday 12 & 13 September.

In this wonderful weekend workshop for beginners, participants will learn to carve and form wax models using files, drills and hot tools. These wax models may then be sent to a casting facility and cast using silver or other metals.

Create that special item; a piece of jewellery or small object to treasure.

Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

When: 10am - 4pm, Saturday & Sunday 12 & 13 September 2009

Cost: $110 non-members $100 Flying Arts Members
Materials: bring an empty soft drink can and any jewellery tools you may have
Materials Levy: approx $15 per person
