Past Exhibitions


Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum (GRAGM) selects exhibition in several strategic ways that reflect community desires and tourism drivers, while maintaining our commitment to growing and developing regional creative talent.  We also introduce our audiences to cultural content from other regional and national centres to continue to broaden their knowledge and experiences.

If you're interested in exhibiting at GRAGM, visit http://gragm.qld.gov.au/about/exhibiting-at-gragm and complete an application form.  These are assessed by our curatorial team and selected based upon prescribed criteria.

    The Young Dancers Company of Central Qld  presents "Power Soup", a unique multimedia and dance installation choreographed by professional dancer Fleur Conlon in collaboration with visual artist Rigobert Pupache.  Power Soup is a dialogue between movement, space and visual art creating an atmosphere of what symbolises power in an industrial zone and how that affects Gladstone.

    Life in Your Hands: art from solastalgia champions visual art, craft and design as an enabling force to combat solastalgia, the phenomenon identified by Professor Glenn Albrecht as ‘the homesickness you have when you haven’t left home’.     Ah Xian is a senior Chinese/Australian artist who is best known for his contemporary use of the ancient mediums of porcelain, lacquer, cloisonné and jade. The human body is of central importance within his work, which incorporates traditional Chinese iconography to reference past experiences.
