Love BiTES Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month
May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month. To herald the beginning of the 2014 campaign, Year 10 stduents at Gladstone's Chanel College participated in the Love BiTES Program. Love BiTES is a youth-led multi-lessoned education program focusing on the development of respectful relationships and violence prevention.
It aims to break intergenerational cycles of domestic and family violence and break increasing rates of sexual assault by supporting young people to develop respectful relationships. As part of the Love BiTES Program, Chanel College students completed creative workshops, the results of which are displayed at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum and form part of the awareness campaign.
