Past Exhibitions


Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum (GRAGM) selects exhibition in several strategic ways that reflect community desires and tourism drivers, while maintaining our commitment to growing and developing regional creative talent.  We also introduce our audiences to cultural content from other regional and national centres to continue to broaden their knowledge and experiences.

If you're interested in exhibiting at GRAGM, visit http://gragm.qld.gov.au/about/exhibiting-at-gragm and complete an application form.  These are assessed by our curatorial team and selected based upon prescribed criteria.

    An exhibition of new works, as well as a selection of lino prints and paintings by Jarrod Beezley (Kabi/Bundjalang). Artworks accompanied by their stories, and in recognition of the importance of language with First Nation Communities, will be shown in both the artist’s language and English.

    This exhibition includes detailed copies of Admiralty maps and drawings depicting the coast line of the East Coast of Australia and Port Curtis (Gladstone) from 1799. Also on display are surveyors’ street and locality maps of the Gladstone Regional Council area from 1853.

    The Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum NAIDOC 2019 exhibition profiles art from First Nations Peoples, heritage works from the Gallery & Museum collection, as well as voices, memories, images and cultural connections.

    Tony Albert’s 2006 photographic series 50perCENT, on loan from the Sunshine Coast Art Collection, managed by Caloundra Regional Gallery, forms part of the exhibition.

    An exhibition of paintings, film footage and sculptural installation examining migration by artist Deb Mostert. Imagery drawn from her family’s migration in the 1950s is overlaid with the migration stories of our shorebirds.
