Young Dancers Association: Costumes by Anastasia La Fey

Anastasia La Fey is a costumier and couturier with an integral philosophy rooted deep in the practice of true craftsmanship. Her explorations of cloth span the realms of both art and design, with a particular interest in costume for dance. Anastasia was pleased to be commissioned as costume designer for the Young Dancers’ presentation of The Magic Toyshop (January 2015 at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre), and was invited to display her costumes, fashion designs and other works from the Ballet’s production at the Gallery & Museum.

In a rare opportunity, Anastasia will demonstrate an art finishing technique on the Drover's Dog costume, from 11am Saturday 17 January 2015 at the Gallery & Museum. All are invited! (approx. 30 mins to an hour)
