The 46th Rio Tinto & QAL Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2021
The Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards will be held again this year, marking the 46th anniversary of the Art Awards in 2021.
Since its inauguration in 1976, the Art Awards have become one of Queensland’s most prestigious regional art events and is eagerly anticipated each year. The 2019 edition of the Art Awards attracted 372 entries from established, emerging and amateur artists from across the country and over 4,395 visitors attended the exhibition and supported public programs.
The 46th Rio Tinto & QAL Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2021 exhibition of entries is supported by individuals, businesses and industry.

QAL People’s Choice Awards
Voting was available from 10am, Monday, 18 October to 4.30pm, Thursday, 25 November. Winner announced 11am, Wednesday, 1 December.

This year we are celebrating the amazing talent of our local creatives by hosting two Art Awards Artist Talks events!
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to meet selected Award-winning artists and hear them share their knowledge. Audience questions are welcome and encouraged!

Upon entry to the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum you will be asked to 'Check In' using the Check In QLD App. Those unable to register themselves will be registered through the Check In QLD Business Profile. A paper version of the registration requirements will also be available for attendees, which will be entered into the Qld Check In App Business Profile at the end of the day. Any attendees refusing to sign in, will be refused entry.
