"Mr Gladstone" (1890 - 1985)

Showcases the late William Golding's extensive private collection.  This fascinating exhibition of the original 'Mr Gladstone's' collection gathered during his travels abroad and in Australia, offers viewers a glimpse into one of Gladstone's most prominent and much loved figures.

Featuring kitsch ornaments, intricate oil paintings and a large variety of copper bells, the bric-a-brac collection was gifted to the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum for its official opening in 1985. Prior to that, it was housed in the Harbour Board Building (Gladstone Ports Corporation) in the Golding Gallery.
