Over the Fence

Over the Fence is a series of snap shots celebrating the beauty and wonder that exists in the natural environment viewed from the artist’s back fence. The images explore the seasonal changes and diversity in this borrowed landscape.

These works which are drawn from the nature reserve, depict areas of tall grasses,  trees and foliage showing the range of species and the way they grow and coexist  with adjacent residential development. 

By heightening the colour and stylising the natural forms of the foliage, the artist draws attention to the complexity of the growth structures and the relationships existing between the various plant forms found there.
