Our Special Seniors 2005
Former meatworkers, builders, Council workers, musicians and artists are amongst the interesting mix of local people selected for this years Special Seniors.
Presenting the stories of 17 long term residents, as told by Year 9 students from Gladstone State High School, the exhibition and accompanying souvenir publication, Our Priceless Past are the key event in the region?s Seniors Week celebrations.
Initiated to celebrate International Year of the Older Persons in 1999 Our Special Seniors provides an insight into the regions? past and the interesting lives of people who have been part of it.
A Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum initiative in conjunction with The Observer and Ergon Energy.
