The Gladstone Region celebrates its fourth literary festival with an exciting range of workshops and events for school students, parents, teachers, librarians, readers, writers and illustrators. The CCLC offers a program for all ages and interests, with five award-winning Australian authors and illustrators.

 

Writing & Illustrating Workshops for Adults

  • 9.00-11.30am  Colin Thompson Creating a Story Costs $25 (incl GST) per workshop. Max 15 participants.
  • 12.30-3.00pm  Lisa Shanahan So You Want to Be a Writer? Writing Fiction for Adults and Children OR David Miller Paper Sculpture in Illustrating a Story Costs $25 (incl GST) per workshop. Max 15 participants in each.
  • 11.30am-1.30pm  One-On-One Sessions with Margaret Kennedy Agency (10 mins) Please supply a 300 word summary and up to 1000 words of the manuscript with  your booking, and it will be forwarded to Margaret Kennedy prior to the day. Note: A maximum of 10 bookings will be taken and must be made no later than 30 June 2010 Sessions $25 per person (incl GST)
  • 3.15-4.15pm  Panel Discussion on Writing and Publishing - Margaret Kennedy with the writers. Open only to workshop participants and free.

*Lunch is $10 or free if attending both morning and afternoon sessions.
