"Environmental Sculpture" workshop opportunities with Casselle Mountford
Flying Arts Inc, Tondoon Botanic Gardens and EcoFest 2008 have teamed up to present two workshop opportunities with artist Casselle Mountford.
Casselle has been working as an exhibiting artist since 1994. She is interested in revealing the generative forces and growth patterns within the environment working mainly with natural fibres, wood and assemblages of found objects.
On Saturday, 31 May 2008 Casselle will be working with local High School Senior Art students to create fantasy creatures, either free standing or suspended. The works created will be on display for the community to enjoy at the EcoFest celebrations.
On Sunday, 1 June 2008, Casselle will be working with the community at the Gladstone Regional Council's EcoFest celebrations creating wonderful woven nests.
Ecofest will be held at the Tondoon Botanic Gardens, from 9am to 3pm Sunday, 1 June 2008.
