Art Awards Artist Talks
This year we are celebrating the amazing talent of our local creatives by hosting two Art Awards Artist Talks events, as part of The 46th Rio Tinto & QAL Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2021.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to meet selected Award-winning artists and hear them share their knowledge. Audience questions are welcome and encouraged!

- Kairen Kerr: Winner of The 46th Rio Tinto & QAL Martin Hanson Memorial Art Award, for her work ‘TENTBOXERS’
- Christine Holden: Winner of The Pamela Whitlock Memorial Acquisitive Award, sponsored by Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, for her work ‘Pods’
- Marina Andrews: Winner of The Installers Choice Award, sponsored by Laureen Tkacik, for her work ‘Max Joyriding’;
- Gladstone Community Linking Agency: Highly Commended in Section 1: Easel Paintings for their work ‘Dolphin in Paradise’ (selected artists will present)
The Artist Talks will be a held as a mix of in-person and recorded presentations.

- Kristel Kelly: Winner of Section 4: Digital Works First Prize, sponsored by Gladstone Engineering Alliance, for her work ‘Quixotic Response’
