Following the success of the 2015 Gladstone Region Artist Windows project with fourteen local artist installations featured in twelve Gladstone Regional Council venues, and 2016 Gladstone Region Art in Parks with twenty ephemeral artworks featured in seventeen regional parks, we are calling on the local creative community to submit a digital art proposal for the 2017 Gladstone Region Art on Fleet

Four Award-winning local artists will provide insight into their artistic works during FREE Art Awards: Artist Talks at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum this Saturday, 2 December 2017.

Gallery & Museum Curator, Jo Duke said visitors to the Gallery & Museum could meet the artists and hear a personal account about their works currently on display from 10.30am.

In early December, the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum will be facilitating an exciting workshop aimed at regional Arts & Culture workers and volunteers, as well as local community groups.  Museums & Galleries Queensland has assisted to bring this professional development workshop to the Gladstone Region, enabling participants to better their audience engagement skills. 

As part of 2018 Australia Day celebrations, Gladstone Regional Council is calling for primary school entries in the Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition.  Open to ALL 2017 primary school aged students in the Gladstone Region, the competition asks them to consider 'what and who makes Australia great'.
