An Ordinary Romance

Nationally profiled artist and jeweller Barbara Heath investigates the history of tinsmithing in Southeast Queensland, toured by Gallery Artisan. 

Exquisite new objects by the artist are seen in juxtaposition to historical tinwares.


Tinsmith: An Ordinary Romance is an artisan travelling exhibition. Artisan produces Australia’s largest touring exhibition program of craft and design.  Publication Sponsor: Gordon Darling Foundation.  This project has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
