A new generation of botanical art

Straddling the boundaries between science and art, this exhibition explores the remarkable world of plants in the tropical north of Australia through the eyes of six Indigenous and non-indigenous printmakers and a photographer.

Working with the Northern Territory Herbarium and traditional knowledge custodians from the Daly River region, the artists investigate the unique characteristics of Indigenous plant species that survive and prosper through the climatic extremes of monsoonal rains, dry weather and wild fires.

An Artback NT: Arts Development and Touring exhibition presented by Museum and Gallery Services Queensland.
