Harbour Views

Works from the GRAGM Heritage Collection

-

Harbour Views takes a closer look at Gladstone harbour and waterfront area, through examining works from the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum heritage collection.  Well-known for its incredibly versatile port and coastline, Gladstone's waterways were first chartered by English Navigator, Captain Matthew Flinders, during his circumnavigation of Australia.

The exhibition features maps, photographs, prints and navigational objects which document various views of Gladstone's coastline and harbour. These historical items are from as early as the time of Matthew Flinders (1800s) through to the late twentieth Century (1980s).
