Primary School Art Competition


A presentation of the 13th annual Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition entries.

This competition encourages Gladstone Region students to think about an aspect of Australia they believe is really important to them and put their creativity to work using pen, paint, collage or other media on A4 paper.

Winners announced during Gladstone Regional Council's Australia Day celebrations, Saturday 26 January 2018, hosted at the Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands, from 3pm to 7pm.

It is a colourful and imaginative display of paintings, drawings and collages celebrating 'who and what make Australia great'. This touring exhibition can be seen at the following venues on the following dates:

  • 8 to 31 January 2019 - Visitors Centre Gallery, Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens
  • 1 to 28 February 2019 - CQUniversity, Gladstone Marina Campus
  • 9 March to 20 April 2019 - Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum
  • 1 May to 8 June 2019 - Boyne Tannum Community Centre
  • 15 June to 31 July 2019 - Gladstone City Library

A digital exhibition of entries can be viewed at selected Gladstone Regional Council offices, venues and libraries throughout January to April 2019.
