Black Keys to Unity - NAIDOC Week Events

-

Join Gooreng Gooreng Elders Aunties Jacki Johnson, Juliri Ingra and Neola Savage as they perform contemporary music to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2021 at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum. This year’s NAIDOC Week theme is Heal Country!

This very special live performance will be accompanied by slideshow of images from the Gallery & Museum’s collection, Black Keys to Unity.

Black Keys to Unity is a stunning series of photographic prints that explore the way music is used as a universal language to preserve traditions, share culture and unite families. These images were taken in 2017 by local photographer William Debois in collaboration with local First Nations musicians.

We invite you to come together, listen to beautiful sounds and view a unique collection of images, celebrating local First Nations communities.
